Tadpole - Better Days

Sometimes I feel lonely and I crave human company
I miss sleep it's nice, haven't had much of it 'round here
Sometimes I feel sorrow and there's no way to release it
It wells up inside, don't have no one here with whom to share it,
Except you, you're nice

Sometimes I feel guilty and I wish I could absolve it
I miss peace it's nice, haven't had much of it 'round here lately
I miss peace, it's nice.
I've had better days...

There's no way to break through
I'm trying to break through
'cause I feel in slow-mo
And there's no way to break through
'cause I feel in slo-mo

Sometimes I feel joyous and there's no way to explain it
it burns me inside, never lasts long enough to become a custom
I miss this, it's nice
Sometimes I feel jealous and I'm not sure that I like it,
It hurts me inside, don't quite have the strength in me to remove it,
I miss you, you're nice.

I've had better days...
There's no way to breakthrough...

Sometimes I feel a burden and I wish I could remove me
Do you like me, that's nice
Haven't seen much of me 'round here lately
Do you miss me, that's nice

Sometimes I think I'm drowning and I wish someone would save me
That's not likely now
Don't quite have the strength in me to resist it,
I don't care, it's nice.

Supergroove - My Best

So alone
No-one to call my own
I need someone
To make a fuss
Someone to hold
Someone I can trust
Never ever to
Take me for granted
But I'll let them if they must

So alone
No-one to call my own
I need someone to
Stay by me
Someone to fortify me

She's on top of the world
Things have never been better
And I'm glad in a way
Doing my best to forget her

So alone
All the people I've known
Are all tricky
Handshakes and smiles
But in my absence they plot
And conspire
All these people who
Wouldn't piss on me
If they knew I was on fire

So alone
No-one to call my own
I need someone to
Stay by me
Someone to fortify me

She's on top of the world
Things have never been better
And I'm glad in a way
Doing my best to forget her

So alone
No-one to call my own
I need someone to
Stay by me
Someone to mortify me

So alone
No-one to call my own
I need someone to
Stay by me
Someone to crucify me

She's on top of the world
Things have never been better
And I'm glad in a way
Doing my best to forget her
Doing my best to forget her
Doing my best to forget her

Betchadupa - Lucy's Song

Dreams don't excite you
And I hope that I do
Not much gets past you
But you don't realise what I do
No you don't realise what I do

I grew so close to you
Like friends are supposed to
I laid beside you
But you don't realise what i do
No you don't realise what i do

And now we're off again
My band, i'll stand
The same worries that we bear
Well i care
What matters is the time we share
We share
I only wanna be with you
But i won't lie
There'll come a time
I know you're true
I'll wait for you
When times are hard
Don't fall apart
I'm tied to you
You'll see me soon

The words i sigh
Before i die
We know are true
Cos i love you

Vorn - Take Your SUV and Fuck Off

Tsa long long ride from my house to work and the fates lie in wait yeah they lurk round
Each corner at each intersection apocalypse beckons with nasty metal claws
And they screech and skirl and snarl and snap hear the hiss of the valves on the victory lap
And I can't help but hunch up my shoulders and wait for the crunch
Of their impact

They're gonna run me down
Like they run down the chick from The Stereolab
Run down the trees and the seas and the skies
Until all the oil runs dry

In a factory not far away
There's a foreign guy working for minimum wage
Making weapons to keep gasoline prices cheap
So some fucker can afford to run me over
And he'll never know the part he played in my demise

They're gonna run me down
Like they run down the chick from The Stereolab
Run down the trees and the seas and the skies
Until all the oil runs dry

They're gonna run me down
And I will fall like a domino struck by a domino
Fall like all those who will follow will fall till there's no one left alive

They're gonna run me down
Like they run down the chick from The Stereolab
Run down the trees and the seas and the skies
Until all the oil runs dry

They're gonna run me down
And I will fall like a domino struck by a domino
Fall like all those who will follow will fall till there's no one left alive

Phantom Planet - First Things First

You should get your story straight before I start to doubt it
Cuz if you've worn your lipstick off, I want to hear about it

And telling me would be such a breeze, tell me if you want to leave

I think I'm getting the drift
You want some time with your friends
On the nights and weekends
You take the time for yourself
Both of us used to spend

Before you make it better
Before you make it worse
First things first

I don't think it's an accident you treat me like a dummy
Hold on, Hold on
I've been asking for the truth at least just tell me something
Hold on, Hold on

And telling me would be such a breeze
Let me know, don't let me be

It's almost too easy
I'm holding you by the hand
More like the nape of your neck
Why don't you draw up a list you have to frequently check?
And put some things in order
And lose it in your purse
First things First

Klaxons - Isle of Her

Row! There's only seven more miles to go...
Row! There's only seven more miles to go...
Row! There's only seven more miles to go...
Row! There's only seven more miles to go...

We'll reach the Isle of Her
We'll find the peacocks tail
We'll steal the mother of pearl
We'll eat the dancing girls

Cyclops gazing alone
Facing mirrors that show
The reflection of his own
Face to face

A hand on each of the oars
A hand on each of the oars
We're seven miles from shore
Just keep on going

Scissor Sisters - Intermission

When you’re standing on the side of a hill
Feeling like you didn’t be done
Here it comes, strawberry sponge
Chasing away the sun

Don't let those precious moments fool you
Happiness is getting you down
A rainbow never smiles or blinks
It’s just a candy colored frown

You were going on at half-past seven
Now it's going on a quarter 'til nine
All the angels want to know
Are you lost or treading water?
And you're going on your fifteenth bender
But you've only got a matter of time
Yes we've all got seeds to sow
Not everyone's got lambs to slaughter

When the night wind starts to turn
Into the ocean breeze
And the dew drops sting and burn
Like angry honey bees
That is when you hear the song falling from the sky
Happy yesterday to all
We were born to die

Sometimes you're filled with the notion
The afterlife's a moment away
You want to tell someone the way that you feel
But then you ain't got nothing to say
You fight for freedom from devotion
A battle that will always begin
With somebody giving you a piece of advice;
By the way you're living in sin

Now there's never gonna’ be an intermission
But there'll always be a closing night
Never entertain those visions
Lest you may have packed your baggage
First impressions are cheap auditions
Situations are long goodbyes
Truth so often living dormant
Good luck walks and bullshit flies

Let the headlights guide your way
You know the place is right
When the treetops sing and sway
Don't go to sleep tonight
That is when you see the sign
Luminous and high:
Tomorrow's not what it used to be
We were born to die
Happy yesterday to all
We were born to die

Phantom Planet - Anthem

I woke up today a song was swimming in my head
And I hummed it to myself as I got out of bed
And on the way to take a shower it all just dawned on me
That a song like this just might go down in history
I quickly ran back to get my guitar
A pen and some paper

'Cause this whole world needs an Anthem
And I'm trying to put the words where they belong
Yeah this whole world needs an Anthem
And I'm hoping everyone will sing along

Well I quickly got to work and put the song in gear
And my neighbor rang the doorbell said it caught his ear
I was playing it so loud the whole neighborhood could hear
And at night from every household it became quite clear
Everyone was singing along
The same notes the same song
Or maybe I heard it wrong

'Cause this whole world needs an Anthem
And I'm trying to put the words where they belong
Yeah this whole world needs an Anthem
And I'm hoping everyone will sing along.

Gomez - We Haven't Turned Around

We came, we came, we came again
To stem the tide and point the blame
Came back for more
Came back to see what you had in store
Everyone join the line, everyone
Yeah

So you wanna spin the world around?
So you wanna spin the world around?
And anybody else, cut 'em down
So you wanna make catastrophe?
Won't you send it right over to me
I got some time
Everybody running high

The same, the same, the same again
To steal the time and haunt the graves
Just because it's there
Don't mean you see it anywhere
Maybe it's a trick of the light
Maybe, yeah

So you wanna spin the world around?
So you wanna spin the world around?
And anybody else, cut 'em down
So you wanna make catastrophe?
Don't you send it right over to me
I got some time
Everybody come alive
Yeah

So you wanna spin the world around?
So you wanna spin the world around?
And anybody else, bring 'em down
So you wanna make catastrophe?
Don't you send it right over to me
I got some time
Everybody running high

So you wanna spin the world around?
So you wanna spin the world around?
And anybody else, cut 'em down
So you say we haven't turned around?
So you say we haven't turned around?
Just everybody else is going wrong
Going wrong

Blow Your Little Minds

Just a flash in the pan
To blow your little minds
The nucleus of an atomic mine
Abducted by a Dutchman
Dressed to kill
And he's gonna try

There's no one about
No one to see
What you're about to do
You pick up your gun
Take off your shoe
For someone it's a clue
He flips the switch
A level he pulls
It's gonna be the end
He looks in the sky
Lines up his shot
He's aiming at you

It wasn't your fault
No matter what you feel
He had inner pain
Which nothing could heal

Nowhere to run
Nowhere to hide
What you're gonna do
You mutter some words
Surrounded by smoke
You've disappeared it seems
He shoots anyway
But it's not at you
You wonder who it's at
You look in the sky
Hearing the shot
He falls to the ground

Just a flash in his hand
To blow his little mind
The ending of a man once alive
Abducted by Lucifer
Dressed to kill
And he's the one who'll die
